Cathedral Almudena, Madrid

We were surprised that still so many people went to church in Madrid. Every church you visit, you find believers. In the cathedral, there were several religious groups present. They all wore the same clothing and awaited the start of the service.

This cathedral is very impressive with paintings, wall paintings, sculptures, stained glass, a very special altar, decorated ceilings and a elevated organ. The building in neo-renaissance style, although very young, from the end of the 19th century displays a strong character. The pictures say it all.
