The calm sea and white sand on Carlise Bay, Barbados

Carlise Bay in Barbados at the edge of the capital Bridgetown and is an ideal beach to relax and enjoy a swim in a calm sea. There are almost no waves and the water is warm. Probably this is a good location to learn sailing. Maybe this is the reason why there are so many small sailing boats. There are two piers and a few hotels which offer beach facilities like chairs, showers and changing rooms. The people offering services like snorkelling or going to watch sea turtles are very friendly and not assertive at all. Barbados seems like an excellent holiday destination.

  8. Wow, this is stunning to see sunshine and sand. I'd love to hop on a plane and head here, maybe even stay for the duration of our winter! It's so cold here now and we're still in for about 3 more months of this.

Have a wonderful weekend, I love your shots!

  15. The water is so turquoise and the sand so white. Lovely way to spend a relaxing vacation. I assume the boat is taking passengers further out to snorkel or swim.
